Aussie biometric vendor receives international award

Australian security vendor Bio Recognition Systems (BRS) has won the Most Innovative Security Product award in the Sensor category for its BioLock+ system at the Security Network’s Security Summit in California.

The winning device, BioLock+, is a biometric access control system that brings standalone or IP-relay intelligence to an IP65 weather-, dirt-, dust-resistant device.

“Winning this award is a strong endorsement of our technology, as it comes from internationally recognised security experts who are well aware of the issues and market needs around biometric security,” comments Anthony Holman, BRS’s chairman.

The system was declared a winner by the Security Network thanks to its focus on innovation and its cross-market applicability.

The Security Network is a non-profit industry group intended to foster innovation in the security market.

“Being selected as the winning product among such a high level of competition is testament to Bio Recognition Systems’ focus on innovation that will have an impact in the security market for many years,” said Michael B Jones, president of the Security Network.
