Government receives NBN bid review, but won't release it

The panel judging bids for the National Broadband Network has made its final submission to the federal government — but the government refuses to reveal any of the findings.

Stephen Conroy, the Minister for Broadband, confirmed the government is examining the panel’s findings.

“The government will give this serious and detailed report careful consideration,” he said.

But the government has refused to release the panel’s findings to the public, claiming that doing so could influence the outcome of the bidding process.

Conroy thanked both the panel that judged the bids and the ACCC.
