Hot on the heels of several wins and acquisitions, bullish Sirius Telecommunications has secured a new three year $20 million Telstra sub-contract to provide specialist telecommunications services for Department of Defence installations right across Australia. The contract includes options to extend for up to two years which, if exercised, would increase revenue to approximately $30 million over five years.
Under the contract, Sirius will provide around 100 switchboard operators spread across all mainland states and the Northern Territory. The company will also provide a centralised Help Desk and associated management of 20 to 30 staff.
"This is a big contract for us, in dollars," said Roger Mason, Managing Director of Sirius. "It confirms the ability of Sirius to service major clients and provides a substantial expansion of services geographically."
Since listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in December 2000 with $8 million in annual revenues, Sirius has increased its annual revenues with several acquisitions and new contracts. The company now has annual revenue in excess of $30 million, with over 70 per cent secured by contract.
