Precision core alignment single and multi mode fusion splicer. Instrument is fully automatic and provides a typical splice loss of 0.02 dB on single mode fibre, and 0.01 dB on multi mode fibre. Splice time is typically 9 seconds. The instrument has temperature (operates from -10C to 50C), humidity (operates up to 90% at 38C), and altitude sensors (operates up to 4000m) which adjust arc time and intensity as required. Also includes a built in heater for applying splice protectors and a splice tension testr (200g). The instrument has a front mounted colour display and can be operated from AC(100/120V 200/240V), or battery (up to 70 splices).
