ProCurve Identity Driven Manager (IDM) is an easy-to-use, fully automated management solution which allows any business to completely control user access to their network.
IDM reduces the amount of time it takes to administer network security. A simple graphical user interface allows administrators to automatically apply changes to security policies across their entire ethernet and wireless LAN.
User administration is further simplified via direct integration with RADIUS servers, Windows Vista Network Access Protection, LDAP, and Active Directory.
Network equipment and users are automatically discovered on the network. Management tools allow users to be located instantly, and security policies applied to ensure they receive the correct level of network access regardless of where the user attaches to the network.
Sophisticated policies can be established for either individuals or groups of users. Traffic prioritisation and bandwidth rate limiting can be automatically applied as part of a security policy, in addition to ensuring that only valid applications are allowed across the network. User access can also be varied by time of day, allowing enormous flexibility when creating user security policies.
