Hellma has released an improved fibre-optic immersion probe in the Erweka RoboDis automated tablet dissolution analysis system.
A close cooperation between Erweka and Bayer Healthcare, the RoboDis has a fully automated robotic arm, equipped with an immersion probe that serves several different vessels. This design enables sequential UV/vis measurements with high flexibility and throughput.
The Hellma immersion probe is designed with a custom-built conical measuring head to minimise the carry-over effect. Modified fibre-optic cables ensure convenient maintenance and replacement. The probe is available in five different optical path lengths. This is cost effective because exchangeable tips are less expensive to purchase than a whole new probe.
Tablet dissolution analysis can be fully automated by utilising the immersion probe. Use of the immersion probe facilitates walk-away operation and less liquid handling in the analyses.
