Interworld Electronics has released Quatech’s Airborne Enterprise Class Wireless Ethernet Modules. The Airborne Enterprise Class Wireless Device Server and Bridge Modules provide WPA2-Enterprise Class extensible authentication protocols (EAP) with support for authentication Certificates. The modules provide wireless serial device server or ethernet-to-wireless bridge functionality and are designed to meet an extended operating temperature range (-40 to +85 °C).
The 802.11b/g modules support 802.11i, 802.1x, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise with Certificates, WPA-PSK, WPA-LEAP and WEP. The modules also include support for EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP and LEAP with AES-CCMP supported in the hardware as well as storage for multiple Certificates and Private Keys. The Wireless Bridge Module also features port filtering (HTTP, FTP, Telnet), 802.11b/g NAT3 ethernet gateway and DHCP or fixed IP on wired interface. The Airborne Wireless Device Server Module manages all authentication processes without requiring interaction from the host and features: 802.11b/g Serial Device Server and Multiple UARTs including SPI and Serial (RS232/422/485) interfaces.
