While 3GPP long term evolution (LTE) has the potential to enhance 3G networks and enable significant new service opportunities, its commercial success requires the early availability of measurement solutions that parallel the standard's development.
Agilent is leading the way with design automation tools and flexible instrumentation for early R&D design in components, base-station equipment and mobile devices. Using knowledge gained as a member of the various standards committees, the company's design engineers are developing scalable products with best-in-class measurement techniques.
The company has recently released several LTE test solutions for next-generation mobile communications products including:
- LTE UE development test platforms with real-time protocol for UE developers;
- Design verification and receiver test capability with the company's N7624B Signal Studio for 3GPP LTE.
- N4851A and N4861A MIPI D-PHY protocol test solutions which support both display and camera interfaces.
- Signalling analyser software which enables passive probing and analysis of LTE network interfaces.
- 89600 VSA software providing RF and baseband engineers with signal analysis for LTE physical layer testing for both uplink (SC-FDMA) and downlink (OFDMA) LTE signals in a single option.
- E8895 3GPP LTE wireless library that provides signal processing models and preconfigured simulation set-ups for ADS software, enabling designers to create and analyse spectrally correct test waveforms that comply with 3GPP requirements for LTE technology.
- LTE connected solutions that couple the company's range of signal generation and analysis equipment with its ADS simulation environment to create unique test signals and analysis capabilities.
