Belden Australia has introduced the Hirschmann RSB20 series of cost-efficient ethernet/fast ethernet managed switches for use in various applications and markets.
The series comprises 16 models that are distinguished by the number and type of ports offered, factory settings for EtherNet/IP and specific operating temperature ranges.
With the RSB20 series, users only pay for their exact equipment (feature and function) needs. The series offers design features that adapt to any application. Certain versions have been optimised for specific applications in addition to a ‘universal version’ with three, small form-factor pluggable transceiver ports.
Suitable for OEM and network-edge level managed performance, the switches offer plug-and-play features that allow for quick commissioning.
All 16 models of basic switches support fast ethernet (10/100 Base-TX, 100 Base-FX) and offer extensive management and redundancy options as well as a variety of functions for convenient configuration and diagnostics. Each model meets current industrial standards.
In compact DIN rail-mount housings, the switches have passive fanless cooling and redundant 12/24 VDC power connections.
Series features include: high mean time between failure of >60 years; selection of media redundancy (ring and/or mesh), dual power inputs and multicast filtering; 8- and 9-port models.
