Spirent TestCenter 3.50 enables users to deliver performance, availability, scalability and security to customers and provides increased performance, productivity and test coverage in various areas.
It is claimed to have provided 2-3 times increased performance in several multiprotocol areas and to bring mobile applications running over IP/ethernet backhaul with IEEE 1588v2. It enables delivery of good MPLS-TP implementations with support for RFC 4762 and RFC 4447, and enables testing end to end of converged data centre infrastructures from ethernet to fibre channel to virtualised servers.
The release has a productivity enhancement added to its No-Code Automation capabilities with the addition of a GUI action recorder. It enables users to quickly isolate defect behaviour from large data set tests using data mining capabilities in Intelligent Results and Dynamic Views.
It includes a suite of MPLS conformance tests to validate MPLS signalling implementation on LDP, RSVP-TE and BGP-VPLS, and is claimed to have the broadest set of L2-7 API functions and supporting programming languages (Tcl, C, Perl, Ruby, Java) to serve demanding regression systems requirements.
