The DNS-1200-05 ShareCenter Pro 5-bay network attached storage (NAS) solution can be used to meet the needs for data consolidation and information sharing of small to medium businesses.
The ShareCenter Pro offers high-speed network connectivity via two gigabit ethernet ports and iSCSI Internet Protocol storage support for fast data transfer. It also provides options for easily managing and securing important files. The highest levels of RAID protection, remote backup support, SMART disk diagnostics and other security features provide extra data protection.
With five SATA disk drive bays each supporting 3 TB hard drives, it can accommodate up to 15 TB of storage. It is further expandable with iSCSI stacking of up to eight NAS devices, up to a total combined NAS pool 120 TB. iSCSI also offers fast access performance due to block-level data transfer.
Operations such as configuration, provisioning and backup can be handled in the same way as directly attached storage, with iSCSI targets appearing as a local drive on a client PC.
The DNS-1200-05 offers several backup options which allow administrators and users to control how, when and where their data is stored. Organisations can share files across the network or over the internet via FTP or access them via an easy-to-use web file manager. A PC client gives users a straightforward means of copying their data to the NAS server.
The DNS-1200-05 operates in a variety of drive configurations including RAID level 0, 1, 5, 5+Spare, 6 or JBOD.
