Anritsu has released the Y.1564 feature for activating multiple services on its Network Master Ethernet Tester.
Installing the feature with MT9090A Network Master’s Gigabit Ethernet module provides support for simultaneous quality measurements, eg, frame loss, throughput, latency, jitter etc, of up to 32 gigabit user circuits. In comparison to conventional RFC2544 test methods, measurement times are claimed to be reduced by 75%. The package is suitable for Gigabit Ethernet service rollout and maintenance tests.
Gigabit Ethernet is becoming widespread in various applications such as mobile backhaul linking base stations used by mobile terminals such as LTE smartphones and core networks, as well as in home and business broadband circuits.
