The Axis M1043 and M1044-W network security cameras include local recording of video and audio, wireless capability and smart video surveillance features. They are small in size and are suitable for securing locations such as small businesses, boutiques, restaurants, hotels and residences.
Edge storage and support for wireless 802.11n standard with Wi-Fi protected set-up have been added for network security and ease of use. Edge storage includes support for local storage on micro-SDHC cards as well as recording to network shares, such as network attached storage (NAS).
The cameras feature a passive infrared (PIR) sensor for detecting movement, even in the dark, and a white LED light for illuminating the scene, automatically, when motion is detected or when requested by the user. Two-way audio is supported with an integrated microphone and speaker. I/O ports (1 input and 1 output), for connecting devices such as sensors and external relays to activate lights or open/close doors, are also included.
Video quality is 30 fps in SVGA (MO43-W) and HDTV 720p (M1044-W) resolutions.
The cameras are supported by Axis video management software and the Axis Video Hosting System, for managing video monitoring services online.
