Junosphere Lab is a virtual environment for network design, testing and operation. Using Junosphere Lab, users can create and run networks, on-demand, by ‘renting’ virtual networks. This, it is claimed, speeds up modelling projects and lowers total cost of ownership when compared to the alternative of building a physical lab. It also provides network operators with the opportunity to work at a scale that is difficult to achieve with physical equipment.

Using Junosphere Connector, an optional application, users can connect their Junosphere networks to physical networks or lab environments.

Junosphere includes and/or interoperates with products from particular partners, including:

Cariden Technologies’ Cariden MATE, which provides advanced traffic management functionality, including the ability to visualise, plan, simulate and test network changes before they reach the production network.

Mu Dynamics’ Mu Studio Performance Suite, which recreates thousands of applications to model the mix of traffic and validate application-level policies on firewalls or networking systems.

Packet Design’s Route Explorer, which offers network-wide Layer 3 visibility across an enterprise or service provider’s IP network, allowing operators to view the dynamic routing operation that directs the flow of traffic.

Spirent Communications’ TestCenter Virtual, which validates the performance, availability, security and scalability of virtualised and cloud computing environments.

WANDL’s IP/MPLSView traffic engineering solution, which allows users to import a snapshot of their real network topology and configuration and then replicate it within the Junosphere virtual environment.
