MicroStrategy has released the latest version of its business intelligence platform, MicroStrategy 9.2.1m.
The new release includes multiple enhancements to MicroStrategy Mobile including pre-cache folders, adaptive mobile caching, offline interface enhancements, mobile analytical engine optimisations, network quality monitoring and a timeline widget. The mobile app is also now available via the Android Marketplace.
The platform provides users with instant access to information, both offline and online. With offline transactions, users can submit and queue data transactions and information collection while offline or with limited connectivity.
Secure and dynamic sourcing and delivery of files and multimedia to mobile end users is enabled with the MultiMedia widget. Users can connect to file management systems such as WebDAV and Sharepoint to dynamically source multimedia files into the app.
Users also benefit from rapid page navigation and a new timeline widget. Users can quickly navigate through ‘pages’ of a page - by ‘sliced’ report by tapping on the edge of the page. The new timeline widget delivers visualisations that display events and details in an interactive timeline visualisation, a useful capability that helps business users correlate and compare business events that happen over time.
