Clearswift has launched an enterprise-class version of its email security appliance, the MIMEsweeper Email Appliance 2.5, a bi-directional email security system that stops inbound threats and prevents outbound data leakage, whether accidental or deliberate.
With models to suit all sizes of organisations from fewer than 100 up to several thousand users, the appliance incorporates a number of new features that specifically address the needs of organisations with multi-box deployments, including peer-to-peer policy sharing, off-box policy backup and Clearswift Trustmanager sender reputation service.
The email appliance stops spam, viruses, spyware, phishing, trojans, worms and other malware before it gets into the network.
As the appliance is a bi-directional security solution, it also prevents leakage of confidential data including financials and customer names - whether the intended distribution is accidental or deliberate.
